Hammered Silver Jewellery

Hammering is the part of making I like most. A plain sheet of sterling silver goes under the hammer and comes out with a surface that catches light from every angle, and no two pieces end up the same. Here are all the hammered pieces together: star, circle and lightning pendants, chunky hexagon, square, triangle and circle rings, and round and octagonal bangles. All recycled sterling silver, all hammered by hand in my Nottingham studio. Hammered silver hides small scratches better than a polished finish, which makes it a good choice for everyday, and a wipe with a soft cloth keeps it bright.
